Chinesecom.eu project will be presented in "2011 EU-China Multilingualism conference" that will be held in May 19th 2011 in Brussels.

The European Commission and the Chinese authorities, namely its Ministry of Education and the All China Youth Federation, decided to organize a European-China Year of Youth in 2011. The objectives of this Year are to promote intercultural dialogue and strengthen mutual understanding between European and Chinese youth; and to help ensure that cooperation between policy makers as well as between youth organizations. Among several events and projects are being planned the "2011 EU-China Multilingualism conference".
The objective of the conference is to exchange experiences and good practices on language learning/intercultural dialogue from both sides (Europe and China) in order to better promote language learning among European and Chinese youngsters .Around 100 European and Chinese higher education students with a language learning background (Chinese and European languages) and knowledge of European/Chinese relationships will participate at the conference.

Chinesecom.eu scores high

The Executive Agency (EACEA) responsible for the final assessment of Lifelong Learning-projects has given Chinesecom.eu a global score of 8/10. This means the organisation has assessed all aspects of the project proposal as having “high quality”. The EACEA confirms that the main outcome of the project is “a very attractive website and an online language course.” “Considerable effort has been made to create a course which is appealing and useful for people wanting to speak Chinese, especially in a professional environment,” the EACEA outlines. Furthermore, it appreciates the “useful cultural aspects” that have been integrated into the course, which are described as “easily accessible”.

The IGAPE (Galician Institute for Economical Promotion) agrees to collaborate in the promotion of the www.chinesecom.eu. They will organize a Seminar that will be held the first three month period in 2010. They have included a link on its Web Site home page (www.igape.es).

The Department of Education of Galicia supports the dissemination of www.chinesecom.eu, including a link on its Web Site (www.edu.xunta.es).

Chinese Embassy in Spain will collaborate on the dissemination of www.chinesecom.eu.

Coordinators of Chinesecom Project introduce the web www.chinesecom.eu to the Chinese Ambassador in Spain and to the Education Counselor in the Embassy in a reception organized by the Santiago de Compostela University. The Ambassador undertakes to study the dissemination possibilities of the Web Site in China.
