Last week I read a report about how to learn a language,it shows me to remember words in the sentence or through the context instead of single meaning.

so I plan to pose in that way and try to imitate tthe method which given in the report---structure of sentence .

nǐ shì jiào shòu hái shì shāng rén
你 是 教 授 还 是 商 人

He is a businessman all the time
tā yí xiàng shì zuò shēng yì de
他 一 向 是 做 生 意 的

Please explain the meaning of the phrase 可不是.

可不是 we usually use this short sentence to show your agreement.
when people say something and wait for your answer,at the same time,you agree with him/her,you will say "可不是".

"是"need you speak lightly
the accent part is "可"
